Meet The Polished Mage....

Hello lovely people!!  I'm SO SO SO incredibly honored to be featured as a guest blogger for IndieSwatch.  I've followed this mystery person for a long time, when I first joined Instagram way before I created a blog, and well before I tried my hand at video swatches.  The person behind IndieSwatch holds a dear place in my heart, I remember when I first started out, I was reposted and it was such a euphoric feeling!!  It was positive experiences like that, that kept pushing me to keep taking pictures of my polish.  It's accounts like this that keep the positivity!  It might sound silly, but I've always thought that polish love goes for all; whether you are a hobbyist or take it full time with samples.  But enough about me getting sappy!  We're here to talk about Tonic Polish!  I joined the Facebook fan group back when it first started up.  I remember the swatch wheels Lindsey posted and was getting feedback to what she would launch for her debut.  I've been a customer since then, and quite often I find myself buying her 'whole shebang' releases when I can.  It's a pleasure to see brands really make it big and her polishes have seriously brought it to the table.  For this review, I chose three polishes.  I have quite a few Tonics (cough) so it was difficult choosing but I felt like these should be featured.

Sweet Pea - I bought this one in a destash actually.  I wasn't able to purchase it when it released so I hunted it down.  I'll admit, I'm a weird cookie when it comes to names and somethings if abolish name means something to me I'll have to have it.  In this case, it's my son's nickname.  It helped that it was a color family that I adore along with some yummy shimmer.  My swatches show two easy coats from a very creamy formula.  One thing I've always appreciated about the brand is the formula almost always leans against the heavier feel.  I always polish my nails and try to achieve a 'plump' appearance for the final look and it's so easy to achieve with Tonic.

Ambrosia - this one was an immediate stop what I'm doing and stalk the release so that I could have it.  I'm a sucker for blue polish and will always gravitate towards it.  Now, add in some shifty shimmer and you've got my heart.  If I ever had a custom made it'd probably look something like that.  Multichrome shimmer in a navy base.  This one leaned a little lighter than normal regarding formula, but I still found that I adored the look of two coats and it gave me that lovely full appearance.  The holo is a pretty bonus as well!

One Million Flowers - Another color that I always gravitate towards.  White polishes are another love of mine and the shimmer is so magical here as well.  The brand makes some very complex shades, and this is a wonderful silvery spin on a color that I'd pair in the white polish family.  My swatches show three thin coats with topcoat.  If I went in a little heavier on my application, I probably could have gotten away with two coats but I'm all about exploiting shimmer.  The larger holo particles in here just create so much sparkly fun in this!  Red shimmer in a silvery white base?  Yes please.

While these aren't available to purchase now, I'd highly recommend grabbing some pretties from the brand.  I have yet to be disappointed with any of my orders, and her new base coat (French Undies) is pretty bomb too.  I have a review of that one over on my blog if you'd like to see more.  As someone who's been in the community for a while, I lovingly push you to try at least one Tonic!  Be warned, you'll get hooked!

Thank you SO much for having me!! <3
